经过半天的七弯八绕，两辆车才终于上了大路，大谷人也轻松起来，开始和林欣聊天。他问了她许多问题：当初为什么学日语？为什么来日本？喜欢日本吗？将来有什么打算等等等等。
林欣发现这个大谷很健谈，和他聊天相当的轻松。很久没有这样轻松的聊天了！林欣放松下来，把头靠在坐椅靠背上。两只手交握着放在膝上的小包上。大谷不时偏过头来和她说话，林欣暗暗担心这男孩子不要为了顾全礼貌而疏忽了开车。
这顿饭吃得相当愉快。席间大谷挨着林欣坐。不知怎的说起“六四”。大谷问林欣当时是否在上学，林欣说自己在念初三。大谷很兴奋地说：“我是大一！”并且还重复了两遍。
侍者不断地把林欣喝空的咖啡杯子加满。林欣并不爱喝咖啡，但如果只是干聊，也有点傻。反正这咖啡是附赠的。而身边的大谷也是一杯接一杯。
吃罢饭，大谷向林欣要email。斋藤也跟着起哄。林田抿着嘴笑道：“我们是过了这个年龄了。”
